Let’s Look A Little Closer At “Voices of Jupiter Florida” Blog Tactics

As previously reported here on Copyright Anti-Bullying Act, the owner and host of Copyright-Trolls.com, Robert Krausankas has come under attack of a smear campaign consisting of  an “anonymous” blog called Voices Of Jupiter Florida (VOJF) and “anonymous” emails sent from a Jessica Langston.  In one email “Jessica” stated she was not using their real name and most emails are being sent through a proxy to hide the sender’s location/information. While the evidence we have is currently circumstantial (read article in link above) what we have all strongly points to Adlife Marketing‘s CEO Joel Albrizio with possible help from Dash Poet, Linda Ellis.

Crossing The Line

One tactic that VOJF is using to try and shame and embarrass Robert into shutting down Copyright-Trolls.com is having the mythical Jessica Langston email Robert’s clients, associates, wife and  all the coaches in the league where his daughter plays volleyball. and involving family members to try and force Robert from reporting on the way Adlife Marketing  operates.  VOJF does this by trying to embarrass family members as a tactic. Someone doing this, in my opinion, is a person of a questionable and/or damaged character.  Even the worst of the criminal element, the mob bosses, had the rule you leave family and children out of your feud.  This is a tactic we first saw from copyright troll Linda Ellis who made similar attempts to silence April Brown from reporting on her $7,500 demand letter program targeted at people, churches, funeral homes, schools and businesses that shared her poem in newsletters, bulletins and blog posts.  Ms. Ellis called and sent emails to April’s husband’s work saying that the person they hired is married to a thief and copyright infringer and it would damage the stations reputation by having him there.  He worked as a network sports announcer at the time.

Here are some of the emails sent out by “Jessica Langston”. I might also add that my remodeling business received one of these emails too. The first is a typical email sent to Robert’s clients, they are all so similar there is no need to post all of them.  The next two were sent to the sports teams/coaches where Robert’s daughter is part of a volleyball league. Emails 4 and 5 were to the coach of a local college volleyball team Robert supports and attends games when he can. And lastly, an email was sent to Robert’s wife.

It’s All About The Context

Part of the reason why I believe Linda Ellis is guiding/helping VOJF is the style of the attack. It looks like it’s right out of the Linda Ellis playbook.  Take an image, statement, or whatever and twist it out of context to say what you want.  Ms. Ellis has this down to a science, in a previous article I dubbed it “Ellis Editing”  Example, this is where VOJF takes a tweet directed at a church and it’s pastor who banned boy scouts from meeting in their church because the Boy Scouts of America changed there rules to allow gays.  Robert is clearly shaming them for this by saying, “I bet your gay members must be proud of you.”  VOJF takes this tweet and says Robert is somehow bashing gays.  This can be applied to all of VOJF claims.

Comparing Apples to Oranges

VOJF in their attacks so far has done nothing but make false statements from behind an anonymous blog and fake email account sent via proxy (except that one you let slip from your Pawtucket, Rhode Island IP address, we saw that).  VOJF has done their best to try and shame/embarrass Robert into shutting down Copyright-Trolls.com which is what they have demanded every day in their posts, except, oddly enough today.  It was noticed that right after Robert released his letter refuting VOJF their response was to brazenly repeat their lies that Robert said an offensive word in a video, and that he produced the video as well as uploaded it.  Not one statement of which is true, the creator of the video has confirmed this in a post of his own.  Plus if you watch the clip, Robert NEVER says the word in question, the other person does.  In their post today, VOJF never address the valid points Robert makes in his statement, nor do they demand the site be shut down (for the first time).  Instead, they are now asking him to shut up instead.

After seeing today’s post from VOJF  ignoring the salient points of Roberts response, which they have obviously read, since they quote it, brought to mind a line from an article a good friend sent me today.

People feel vulnerable when they are accused. Psychologically, almost at a subconscious level, a guilty person knows that attacking credibility of the accuser is safer ground than denying the truth.

  • VOJF has yet to produce anything to back their claims
  • VOJF makes posts anonymously, attacking from the shadows
  • Jessica Langston emails people from a hidden proxy and says she in not the real person sending the emails
  • VOJF tries to embarrass Robert by involving his wife, son, clients and minor daughter via her volleyball league

Yeah, I think the above quote hits pretty close to home.

This article is getting long and I have so much more I want to cover. So it will continue in the next two or three other posts.  In the next post, we will get to play a game where we compare the claims (no facts, documents etc. to support them) made against Robert and his character against what we know about Adlife Marketing (business practices, lawsuits, letters and emails from real people etc.)  We will do it in a fun format..

There will also be a big announcement on Sunday!

I think VOJF’s email appeals are very poorly done.

First, they don’t establish any credibility. Hiding behind a fake name and proxy server. Why would someone who really wanted to see change in the community do that?

Second, they are not very well written. There isn’t really a call to order. They basically lay out a bunch of unsubstantiated claims, but don’t really tell the addressee how to correct the ill-defined problem. Listen dummy. If you want to take on a professional writer, you might be smart not to do it in a venue that involves writing, cause you are going to LOSE eventually.

Third, and this one is a real kicker, they are not believable. Anyone who knows Robert Krausankas knows that if he chose to use a GettyImage in one of his posts, he would never credit Getty. 🙂

I hate to encourage trolling, but isn’t this precisely the kind of legally actionable speech which can cost a site and the people posting on it anonymity?

Also, as noted, the communications look like classic clickbait….of the fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me variety.

Just an outside observer here. I stumbled across this blog online. You should report this guy to the police. What he’s doing by posting pictures of this guys house & his family’s names is criminal harassment under Rhode Island laws.

    R.I. Gen. Laws § 11-52-4.2. Cyberstalkingand cyberharassment prohibited. (2008)
    (a) Whoever transmits any communication by computer or other electronic device to any person or causes any person to be contacted for the sole purpose of harassing that person or his or her family is guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($ 500), by imprisonment for not more than one year, or both. For the purpose of this section, “harassing” means any knowing and willful course of conduct directed at a specific person which seriously alarms, annoys, or bothers the person, and which serves no legitimate purpose. The course of conduct must be of a kind that would cause a reasonable person to suffer substantial emotional distress, or be in fear of bodily injury. “Course of conduct” means a pattern of conduct composed of a series of acts over a period of time, evidencing a continuity of purpose. Constitutionally protected activity is not included within the meaning of “course of conduct.”

    He belongs in jail.
